Two days of campaigning for Maldives a new wonder of nature has been concluded successfully on 17th October 2009. 468 people voted on stations in the Basketball Court Area of Thinadhoo.
The event was carried out together with live music from the local Bodu Beru band, "Tekunik". Environment related documentaries were also shown in order to gather raise awareness against climate change.
CHOCO organized and implemented the event with tremendous support from Upper South Province Office, Thinadhoo MP Mr Mohamed Gasam and several youth of Thinadhoo who volunteered to assist. CHOCO is also immensely thankful to Raas Maldives Pvt Ltd who share their home internet connection on the first day of voting. CHOCO also thanks the several people of Thinadhoo and Dhiraagu for their assistance.
